Day #27

I want to look at stars again
to stand, staring up
at all the not-dark
the comets and galaxies
planets more ancient than ours
and suns just beginning to live.
I want it all to flood my mind
till there's nothing else,
and all that I am
is so tiny it might
float away on the breeze
and I would never notice.

  1. I haven't commented or read any of your posts in so long! This is a definite disadvantage of having such a busy schedule some weeks. I have missed reading your posts!

I really like this piece. I was actually thinking today how nice it would be to lay out on a blanket, under the stars, when the night sky is clearer. (So it is funny that I open blogger and found this greeting me!)

I feel like you capture how it feels to lay - or stand - out beneath the stars and just let the view consume you. It is a truly extraordinary feeling!

How are you feeling? Is this project becoming any easier for you, or are you finding it is getting harder?

  2. Are you any less busy now that college is out, or more so? Things never seem to slow down :)

Thank you! That's funny :D I can't wait till it's warm enough to do that! It really is great.

I am not sure :P I'm using up my usable poems faster than I thought I'd be! But I'm also getting less paranoid about which ones I put up :P so we'll see. I can't believe it's been four weeks tomorrow!

A question for you: should I do more poetry or stories? Thanks for reading!

  3. Oi! I am so bad at getting back to people lately. At the current moment I am probably busier than I was not that college is out. It seems like so many of my friends are graduating this year and I am trying to figure out what to do for them! (Plus I decided to do a scrapbook for my cousin for her graduation so I have two weeks to do a massive project O.O) After these next two/three weeks, though, I'll be slowing down (majorly). I'm having fun, though! So that's good ;). (Hopefully I will see you sometime soon!)

You're doing so well with the project. :) I am so proud of you for getting this far!! It definitely isn't an easy task to post anything -blog post, story or poem - every day.

Oooo! That's a good question. I need to finish reading the story parts that you posted, now that you mention it. I really love both your stories and your poetry - an alternation of some sort would be fun! (Well, for me, the reader :P. I could see where it might be painful for you)

Cannot wait to read more of your pieces!

  4. Oh wow, that sounds like a time consuming project! Hopefully you like scrapbooking :D but that's such an awesome gift, it'll be so worth it!

    Aw thank you! :)

That's the thing about stories, they take much more time to read than poetry! That's why I'm a little hesitant to post a lot of stories, going to a blog with just walls of text might throw some people off :P

    Thanks! :D
